The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, after meeting with opposition party leaders in the country, has said national unity at this difficult time for Kosovo is encouraging and for that all should contribute.
Osmani, after meetings he had with opposition party leaders, thanked them for their correct stand and support of security institutions in the phase of confronting Serbia's destabilising agenda against Kosovo.
“Opposition party leaders have been informed, within restrictions allowing legal frameworks, regarding security developments, the work of Kosovo institutions, as well as the risks posed by Serbia due to its destabilising and combative agenda, which is emerging through acts of aggression and terrorism”.
“In all meetings have commended security institutions for the excellent work in the face of structures designed by Serbia that carried out the terrorist attack against Kosovo and has expressed deep gratitude for the unique commitment and sacrifice of the Kosovo police to protect the sovereignty, territorial integrity and all Kosovo citizens, indiscriminately”, said the presidency's announcement.
Furthermore, it becomes known that Osman has assured opposition leaders that at every stage of developments, preparations and work of institutions will be announced, but according to it, there will be full co-ordination with Kosovo allies.
“President Osmani has demonstrated full confidence that even new challenges that may arise will be overcome jointly, placing the state's interest above all”, the statement says further.
We remember that today, Osman along with AKI chief Petrit Ajjetin, met with PDK chairman Memli Krasniqi, LDK chairman Lumir Abdijxhik and AAK chairman Ramush Haradinaj.
