President Osmani said Kosovo has taken steps to escalate the situation in northern Kosovo and is committed to working with allies, in particular with the US, to address security challenges.
The emphasis of EU measures on Kosovo will enable the constructive resumption of dialogue, while the role of the US is defined in dialogue”, the President Osmani stressed.
“President Osmani stressed that despite current political and security developments in the region, Kosovo remains committed to peace, dialogue and partnership”, the presidency quoted Osmani as saying.
Remember that.. Jon Finer had called Prime Minister Albin Kurti four months ago, when the situation in the north escalated.
“Glad to speak to White House Deputy Adviser for National Security, Jon Finner. I thanked him for his call and committed myself to working with the US to reduce tensions. This calls for an immediate end to violence by Belgrade-sponsored crowds against security officers until the new elections in those municipalities --” Kurt called.
