At the invitation that has provided the “Justice Vow (GEG) pledge to MPs, it is said that the extraordinary session is expected to be held starting at 12:00.
The point of the agenda is: Parliamentary duties related to the failure of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for providing textbooks for primary education-level students and lower middle education for the 2023/2024 school year.
The session comes after opposition party deputies have submitted the request for extraordinary parliamentary hearings today for September 4th, as have “government's failure to provide textbooks for students”.
The request was published by Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy Eliza Hoxha, who is also a member of the Commission for Education, Science, Technology, Inovation, Culture, Youth and Sports.
The consequences of this government's inability and failure are suffering over 200 thousand students, thousands of parents and teachers. The situation is extraordinary and requires urgent action. Therefore, we, the opposition deputies ʹ members of the Education Commission, backed by other MPs, have initiated calling the extraordinary Assembly session, which will be held on Monday, September 04th”, wrote among other things.
