A statement by France's president, Emmanuel Macron, that there may be a revision of visa policy if Kosovo and Serbia question responsibilities has sparked suspicions that liberalisation may not become a reality on January 1st, 2024.
In this regard a few minutes ago, the rapporteur for Kosovo has also reacted to the European Parliament, Violet von Cremon, saying Kosovo citizens deserve visa liberalisation after a long delay.
She, along with a group of eurodepts, has said she wants to make it clear that free visa movement is not and should not be linked to dialogue with Serbia.
“The EU must keep its promise to allow Kosovo citizens to travel freely from January 1st, 2024x1>, Cromon wrote.
