The Vetevendosje Movement assembly group at the Municipal Assembly in Pristina has indicated that it will not attend the next session of the Municipal Assembly, invited for Monday.
The issued announcement is said to be inconsistent with the election of the new leader and therefore contest the invitation to this session.
Given the fact that already at the Constitutional Court in Pristina an administrative conflict has been initiated between the MAPL and the Pristina municipality, among other things on the Chiefs' case, we appreciate that the call and organisation of this meeting at this time is unnecessary and biased”.
In such a situation, with judicial uncertainty, all the eventual decisions made at these irregular sessions will be the subject of renewed treatment by the Municipal Assembly. Meanwhile, all the legal consequences such decisions produce will be sufficient grounds for prosecution and criminal charges”.
“Seek from ruling parties in Pristina's municipality, the LDK- PDK- NISMA-LB, to refrain from any decision and action at this stage, and we also ask the Constitutional Court in Pristina as soon as we have priority, to address the case in question. Returning legitimacy to the Pristina municipality is urgent and necessary”, the announcement said.
