Lajcak meets with KFOR commander, talks on current Kosovo situation

EU Special Emissar Miroslav Lajcak has been waiting in his office for the next commander of KFOR, the Turkish general, ãozkan Ulitaş. He said they have spoken about the current situation in Kosovo and said he expects co-operation with KFOR to continue.

Welcome to the next commander of KFOR, Major General Ulutaş in my office today. We have exchanged opinions on the current situation in Kosovo and on dialogue. We look forward to continuing excellent long-standing co-operation with KFOR”, Lajcak wrote.

This month, Ulutaş has also been received at the office of President Osmani and Prime Minister Kurti to welcome him to Kosovo.

Ulitaş will succeed the Italian commander in KFOR, Angelo Michele Riestuccia.
