An interview of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, given in April 2016, has become a focus of public opinion. Rather, a brief break of the nearly two-hour long show (1:46:17 minutes) in which Kurti, the world's VV activist, compared Hashim Thaci to Esat Pasha, the figure symbolising national betrayal in Albanian folk memory.
But it is not only this scandalous part, as Kurti fully inhabits and radicalises his criticism/attack on Kadri Veselin, former head of the Kosovo Assembly, in this interview. What did Kurt say?
Dressed in official clothes, but with no tie and a small national flag on his chest, Kurti was a guest at a show in Albania. In April 2016, Kurt was invited to the Ilva Tare journalists' show, which had divided the world's 46 minutes and 17 seconds to former VV leader Albin Kurti (after VV chairman was Visar Ymer, now analyst).
Criticising Thaci, Kurti draws two negative figures in history, through which Kurti strikes Thaci for betraying the Albanian nation's ideals of the KLA. In question of what's against Thaci, Kurt replied as follows:
You said it was in the KLA. There have been many more and many more fighters at the KLA. But remember, if we look at our people more has fought Esat Papa Toptan than Hashim Thaci. Why does a man at a certain time wage a war, it doesn't mean he makes a war, battle or wrong commitment later” he said, broadcast Nacional.
In addition to the image of Esat Pasha, Kurti mentioned Philippe Pétain, former marshel of France, who was accused of national treason because of co-operation with the Nazi regime. The entire company of Thaci's comparison with two controversial historical figures was made in order for Kurti to conclude that Thaci is not the legitimate president. And, of course, the subtext is clear: by comparison, Thaci is also in the Esat Pasha and Pétain group.
For us it is not legitimate that president” declared Kurti in the opposition's quality.
In the interview, Kurt also deals with the figure of Kadri Wessel, accused of committing a crime.
The problem is that the head of the SHIK, of a secret criminal organisation, became parliament speaker. This is a major problem. One person who... ” stated Kurti as journalist Ilva Tare intervened and says a great truth.

At this point Kurt makes an absolutely banal, dangerous, arbitrary comparison. In aid of his argument against Wessel, he mentions coming to power through “ ” of Hitler's people, the dictator of Germany responsible for the Holocaust, and of Slobodan Milosevich, the dictator of Yugoslavia, who was charged with war crimes by The Hague, and who is internationally known as the “Cassap of the Balkans”.

This video of Kurt has been commented by analyst Fitim Salihu, who wrote that Kurt has never experienced Thaci and Wessel as political rivals.
Even his face is being distorted by the hatred and mental tension he's having when talking about political opponents. So, still today, even when it has won 51%, it's not enough with that victory, it's about the disappearance of the opposition.
Hashim Thaci of Kadri Veselin never experienced them as political rivals. Thaci and Wessel have been looking for Albin Kurt as a mirror for Snow White's stepmother who's been telling her the sad reality every time it's raining in it, even when he wanted to lie to himself.
