Of the five EU states, Greece is closer to recognising Kosovo as a state. So Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said during an interview for Polish televisionTVPworld
Although there are 27 states in the European Union that recognise the Republic of Kosovo as an independent state, there are 5 states that do not recognise it. These include Spain, Slovakia, Cyprus, Romania and Greece.
Kurti in this interview has expressed optimism that his country will eventually manage to persuade non-recognitionists.
Kurti stressed that Kosovo in recent years has made diplomatic advances in communication and co-operation with non-recognitionists, in particular with Greece, which is close to recognising Kosovo.
Kosovo's “Want to enter the EU is not fed only by self-interest, but that the country would like to contribute to the EU, which is the most important political peace project since World War II”, Kurti has said
He also said that Kosovo, given its low operating costs in terms of renting locals and workforce, could be an ideal destination for foreign investors.
He also addressed the topic of digital recognition and the spread of dezinforms across Europe.
