Prime Minister Albin Kurti has met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Allison Peters today, under the Global Partnership Summit for Open Government being held in Estonia.
According to ZKMA, the meeting discussed Kosovo's membership in the Partnership for Open Government and the possibilities for co-operation with American agencies, like U. US in implementing the National Action Plan for OGP, with emphasis on the first pillar of this plan, digital transformation, writes Reporter.net, respectively.
Thanks to the Government's attention in digital transformation, especially with e-government services and digitalisation in education, expected to translate into investments of 100m euros in the next five years, it is intended to provide adequate infrastructure for the companies of this sector so that they can develop as much as possible, it is said at the ZKMACH recognition.
Speaking of Kosovo's potential in the field of Information Technology, KKM says Kurti emphasised that Kosovo ranks first in the Western Balkans in the IT competitiveness index, the first in developing Europe (Emerging Europe) for the number of TI students for 100,000 people, while the second for technological infrastructure.
