The good friendship they show in public does not necessarily mean that Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin trust each other.
At least this shows a video made viral showing North Korean leader security agents examining in detail the chair in which he would sit during his meeting with the head of the Kremlin.
Kim's security was seen conducting rigorous checks on his chair, ahead of their long-awaited summit at the Vostochny cosmodrium.
Initially, there is a man with white gloves and a dark suit sweeping the black chair with a white rag before both leaders sit down for the meeting, which lasted more than four hours in Russia's Central Space in the Far East.
The agent thoroughly cleans up the chair, its back, and its wing supports as two other North Korean officials, standing behind him with more cleaning equipment if needed.
After making sure that the chair was clear from any surveillance or possible chemical devices, a second official wearing identically to the first tests if the chair was strong to handle the weight of his supreme leader, which is over 130kg.
Next came the agent who cleaned the chair to scan it with a small metal detector.
A fourth person, who seems to be Russian, watches him closely, always shouldering one of the North Korean officials.
It is unclear why Kim's security was invested so much to inspect the chair where their leader would sit, but the odds are that they feared deadly chemicals like Novichok and Polandum 210, which were used earlier by Putin's spies to poison enemies.
