Killed brother and father in North Mitrovica, 28 years in prison

The Court of Appeals has changed the Constitutional Court's decision in Prizren to indictee M.B., declaring it a 28-year prison sentence for killing his brother and father in northern Mitrovica. In the act pronounced 8 August 2023 by Judge Kadrije Goga Lubishani, the Court of Appeals had annulled [the] verdict.
The Court of Appeals has changed the Constitutional Court's decision in Prizren to indictee M.B., declaring it a 28-year prison sentence for killing his brother and father in northern Mitrovica.
In the conviction pronounced on August 8th, 2023 by Judge Kadrije Goga Lubishtani, the Court of Appeals had annulled the first instance of a 18-year prison sentence, as well as mandatory psychiatric treatment with bans for accused M.B.
The defendant's defense, lawyer Mahmut Halimi, has told “Justice Trust” that they are preparing the request for legal protection at the Supreme Court.
“We are preparing for legal protection at the Supreme Court”, Halimi said.
Against the first degree bias, the complaint was filed by the Founding Prosecutor in Mitrovica, representative of the injured L. M, lawyer, Miodrag Brklaki and the defendant's defence attorney, Mahmut Halimi.
In the ruling, provided by “Justice Vow”, the Court of Appeals has reportedly found that the prosecution's complaints and damaged parties are based.
The criminal co-operation of this Court, accused M. B, for the criminal offense heavy murder by Article 173 pars. One under the front. 1.3, 1.4 and 1.11 of KPRK are sentenced to prison terms during the duration of 28 years, which the sentence will be executed after the full might of this act.”, in this decision.

Otherwise, the accused of grave murder of his father and brother, M.B., a murder that was committed on May 27, 2022 in northern Mitrovica, had been sentenced to 18 years in prison by the Constitutional Court in Mitrovica after it was found to have carried out his work in a state of reduced mental capacity.
To accused M.B., the court has also pronounced the measure of compulsory psychiatric treatment, with a ban on the health care institution, reports the “Justice Bettim”.
The indictment was announced on April 3, 2023 by the chairman of the court, Judge Mentor Hajray.
