KFOR has announced it is closely monitoring the situation in northern Mitrovica Banjska.
Through a media report KFOR has said they are present in this area and ready to respond to the situation if required.
KFOR has declared that Kosovo police, as the first reaction, have primary responsibility for managing the incident on the ground.
KFOR's commander is in close and continuous contact with all interested international parties, including the EU, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Serbia and with institutions in Kosovo, and is working intensively to find a <x0 solution, the report says.
The NATO-led KFOR mission has said it strongly condemns the attack against the Kosovo Police and sends the deepest condolences to the police family killed today in the early morning hours of Banjska.
