KFOR has not sent reinforcements to northern Kosovo, following the 24 September police attack on Banjska in Zvecan, where one effective was killed, two others were injured, and three Serb attackers were killed.
For ABC News, KFOR spokesman Colonel Andrea Gallien said troops are more focused only in the most sensitive areas.
“There are no reinforcements, KFOR troops are more focused only in more sensitive areas. ”, he stressed.
Kosovo police were attacked by a masked and armed group, as rule forces were trying to remove barricades that were located on a road in the village of Banjscan of Zvecan one of four municipalities in the north, inhabited by Serb majority.
The armed group later fled to the Banjska monastery, where they fought police all Sunday.
Currently, four people are arrested for events in Banjska, while police have displayed weapons and other equipment on 25 September that they have said were confiscated in this village.
Kosovo has made Serbia responsible for the attack, while official Belgrade has made Kosovo Serbs responsible.
