In their post, the fact that the Government of Kosovo declared by express procedure that the whole North was declared the “area of the antiterrorist operation” is leading us all in the wrong direction.
Kosovo Serb Party “does not accept labelling of Serbs and northerns with the label of terrorists”, It says their reaction.
“This is a reckless move by the Government of Kosovo that will potentially provoke increased pressure by Kosovo police on citizens, and on the other hand could provoke the anger and revolt of Serbs. We call on Kosovo's prime minister and government to instead of such excessive actions to start a political dialogue with Serbs from the north of Kosovo and to try to achieve a common success in direct communication, which only depends on us”, it is said.
Full response:
The September 24th armed conflict in Banjska, where three of our Serb countrymen and a Kosovo policeman lost their lives, is a tragedy that does not need to be described in words, and sadness is seen at every step as we mourn our victims.
It was the last alarm for all parties in the process of dialogue aimed at reconciliation and we were brought to the border of an open Serb-Albanian conflict on a broader scale. Instead of allowing this moment and our common sacrifices to be a great warning for us to stop and make some compromise and relaxing decisions that are not happening right now. The fact that the Government of Kosovo announced by express procedure that the whole north was declared the “area of antiterrorism operation” is taking us all in the wrong direction! At the same moment, Serbs blocking Jarinje and Brnjak become hostage to the biggest camp in Europe of the 21st century called northern Kosovo.
The Kosovo Serb Party refuses to accept the labeling of Serbs and the north with the label of terrorists. This is a reckless move by the Government of Kosovo that will potentially provoke increased pressure by Kosovo police on citizens, and on the other hand could provoke the anger and revolt of Serbs. We call on Kosovo's prime minister and government to instead of such excessive actions to start a political dialogue with Serbs from the north of Kosovo and to try to achieve a common success in direct communication, which only depends on us.
If we wait KFOR, EULEX, UNMIK as yet will waste precious time and we will not get far, and the results will be disastrous both for Albanians and Serbs who undoubtedly want a better and secure future, respecting vital interests and other parties. .
