At a press conference, he has stressed that the EU does not take a political stand before it has a proper assessment of the overall situation.
For us it is important that the investigation be conducted and completed, when we have full investigation into what happened, who is behind and who is responsible; then we will make the right decision. At this stage it is important to clarify all the facts and make sure the responsible are held accountable, but we will not go forward and draw conclusions based on that video, the investigation should be fully done so that the EU will have a clear mirror and then we can talk about the consequences of”.
According to him, the way the EU functions is that it does not comment on any name or term in an ongoing situation.
“The EU, when it comes to terrorist attacks as we have seen Sunday, expects the appropriate investigation and then makes judgments and takes steps”, he added.
“We deal with the real situation, now we have a situation that has been carried out a terrorist attack on Kosovo territory. We have the Kosovo Police investigation, we have the EULEX mission that provides support as the second security responseer, we need to see these investigations, based on the results we will decide and take further steps”, Stano added.
Furthermore, he has said the EU does not rush to conclusions and takes no political stance before it has the proper assessment of the overall situation and the full picture of what happened.
