Cholle calls Wuchi's Kurt, the latter wants to avoid actions that increase tensions in the north

US Deputy Defence Secretary Derek Chollet has spoken with the country's prime minister, Albin Kurtin and Serbia's President, Aleksandar Vuciq.

Chollet during the conversation she had with Kurti strongly condemned violence against the Kosovo Police, while saying the parties should return to dialogue.

“I expressed condolences for the loss of Sergeant Africa Bulnjak. Both sides must return to the EU-brokered dialogue and implement Ohrid”, Chollet said.

While, during his conversation with Vucinqi, Cholle asked him for an immediate de-exception and avoidance of actions that could further provoke tensions.

I talked with President Vuciq about the importance of immediate extension to northern Kosovo. The tragic loss of life underlines the urgent need to restore peace and return to the EU facilitated dialogue”, Chollet said.
