Sergeant Africa Bunnjak's colleague, who was killed on Sunday in office, police officer Avni Behram, said they will all follow his colleague's path, currently honoured by President Vjosa Osmani, with the title “Hero of Kosovo”.
Behram, pointing to the critical moments of that night, said that he and Sergeant Bulnjak were inseparable colleagues and that he was not with him on the night he was killed.
“has been a superior, a very good leader, very kind who has contributed very well to the country has expressed it pure will to colleagues and citizens alike. For us, it's not easy to lose a sergeant like the refrain, for us it's a huge encouragement that we've had”.
“It will be permanent, we will follow its path, we will continue in the service of our homeland in any part of Kosovo indiscriminately”, he said.
Behram has detailed how he and Bulnjak had different tasks that night, and that “has remained a point since he didn't shoot him at that moment”.
We've been together until late hours and I've been given another Bistrica Bridge task. There I have served late. Meanwhile, the station has received another call that the road has been blocked. He and several other colleagues have started in that direction, and in the confrontation with those criminals he has come down heroicly defending the country, defending the part of Kosovo”.
I lived with him, I worked with him maybe the last bite together we ate. I've had enough of how I didn't shoot at that moment, and that's what I did, maybe I was going out with it, but at least if I had shot me at”, he said.
