American intelligence is saying the terrorist group that attacked the north this weekend is linked to Serbian special forces and Russian military intelligence.

So he's at least declared for “Fox News Digital” Rebecca Koffler, president of the “Doctrine & Strategic Consulting” and a former US Intelligence Agency officer.

The preliminary intelligence analysis suggests that persons involved in the deadly clash near the village of Banjska in northern Kosovo on September 24th were linked to Serbian Special Forces and Russian military intelligence”, Koffler said. “The attackers seemed trained professionally, and some spoke Serbian and Russian. While the presence of Wagner mercenaries could not be confirmed, it did not rule out the possibility of their participation in these last events”.

Koffler also warned of Russian intervention. Neither Russia nor Serbia, which are staunch allies, recognise Kosovo's independence. It's their long-term goal to change the situation. There are indications that Russia and Serbia are working together to fuel another massive Serb-Albanian conflict, to create excuses for the delocation of Serbian forces to secure peace and stability”.

“Secret operations of destabilising committed by mercenary groups like Wagner are a standard old trade used by Putin when he needs to hide the hand of the Russian government. It would be in line with the Russian side escalation doctrine if Putin helped Vucinqiqi to develop a destabilisation campaign in Kosovo to draw the attention of Washington and NATO forces from Ukraine. What Putin fears most is the deployment of NATO forces in the arena in Ukraine”.

For “Fox News Digital” has also spoken Kosovo's ambassador to the US, Ilir Dugolli. He voiced confidence that Belgrade is responsible for the latest attack on the north.

“There is no doubt that Belgrade is fully responsible for promoting and systematically sponsoring violence against Kosovo's democratic institutions”, Dugolli said.

He said that even though claims about Wagner's presence in Kosovo cannot be ruled out, it is clear that attackers are linked to Belgrade.

Kosovo's Ambassador to the United States also confirmed that Kosovo police seized documents concerning Milan Radojiciqi, a notorious criminal and deputy leader of the main Serbian political party in Kosovo, who is a close associate of the president of Serbia. The fact that Radojici's documents were seized and some suspects found refuge in Serbia shows the involvement of Serbian authorities who refuse to hand over those who executed the attack, the ambassador claimed.

Dugolli confirmed that it fits a model of Serbia's deliberate behaviour towards Kosovo in recent times.

It is Belgrade that orchestrated the Kosovo Serbs' departure from institutions, as Serbia's regime refuses to break up illegal security structures, frightens Kosovo Serbs from participating in the elections, forces them to establish barricades, orders attacks where more than 90 KFOR soldiers, many police and journalists were seriously injured, does not punish those responsible for the attacks, and constantly violates Kosovo's territorial integrity, territorial security and national security<1>, the ambassador said.

Meanwhile, his Serbian counterpart in the US, Marko Djurovic, expressed condolences to the victims' families, but said Kurti bore responsibility for the bloodshed in northern Kosovo.

“The bloodbath in northern Kosovo is a tragedy that could and should be prevented. Albin Kurti's irresponsible policies have set the stage for today's 148x1> tragedy, Djuric told “Fox News Digital”

He made five separate charges against the government, Kurti, among other things, for the monoethnic structure of Kosovo forces in the north, the disrespect of existing agreements, the treatment of terror towards the Serb population in the north that has involved many raids in Serb areas, the forced delivery of mayors of northern Kosovo, and public breach of normalisation talks mediated by the EU.

Djurdi dismissed reports by some Kosovo media on Wagner's involvement, underlining comments by KFOR commander, who said there was no evidence of the group's presence in Kosovo.

In a televised address to the nation, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic condemned the violence and flatly rejected Kurt's claim that the attackers were sponsored by Belgrade, and instead said Serbs behind the attack were from Kosovo.

The Serbian Orthodox Church also condemned the violence, saying in a statement: “this is a serious incident that could have major consequences, and for that reason it is very important that everything be done to maintain order and tranquillity”.

Any hope of continuing the path of peace and reconciliation, which seemed promising months ago, now seems more elusive.

“Normalisation talks have been in a bind that, before the last round of escalation”, told “Fox News Digital” Helena Ivanov, associate in Society “Henry Jackson”.

“in particular, Kurti rejected the EU's latest proposal insisting that for every step forward Serbia must first recognise Kosovo as independent. This Kurt demand, of course, is contrary to previously signed agreements, which determine that Kosovo should establish the Association of Communities [in majority, St. rhen.] Serbian. The last round of escalation will certainly not help these talks and will likely lead to more disputes and difficulties”, Ivanov stressed.

“FoxNews” writes that terror included the small village of Banjska in Zvecan last Sunday, causing new tensions in a turbulent part of the country.

At least 30 armed attackers blocked a road in the Serb-run residential village of Banjska in northern Kosovo and then entered an Orthodox monastery, launching intensive arms battles throughout the village and leaving three of the armed men dead.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti said one policeman was killed and two others were injured in the siege. After police initially backed off the attack, the attackers, dressed in military clothes and masks on their faces, were barricaded in a Serbian Orthodox monastery.

The clash began in the early hours of Sunday morning when two cars without license blocked a bridge leading to Banjska. The police arrived and met with a hail of heavy weapons.

In general, Kosovo police confiscated a heavy armoured vehicle, 24 SUV vehicles, 29 antitank launcher grenades, 150 explosive dynamite, 142 mortar shells, 75 hand grenades, seven rocket launchers and eight anti-tank mines, and more, according to Kosovo Interior Minister Jalal Svecla and Police Director Gazmend Hoxha. /Klankosova. tv
