Albanian Kukes illegally transporting 27 immigrants towards Kosovo

A person in Albania who was transporting 27 immigrants to Kosovo has been arrested.

The migrants had paid 200-400 euros to get out of the country, Albania's police reported.

The arrested “35-year-old had promised to transport from Korca to Kukes, against paying 200-400 euros per person, 27 immigrants who had entered Albania illegally and were aiming to cross the border with Kosovo, with the final destination of EU countries”, the announcement said.

For 27 immigrants, free procedure is initiated for criminal work “illegal passage of the state border”, the case has already been passed to the prosecutor.
