Alarm: Over 21 murders for nine months in Kosovo

Kosovo has experienced a period of shock in the last 9 months of 2023, as a significant number of murders have been testified. Based on Kosovo Police data, this article sums up the current situation and reflects on the concerns caused by this increase in crime, where within the past 9 months there are over 21 murders.

Kosovo in the last 9 months of the year has been shaken by dozens of murders that occurred, from January 1st 2023 to September 2023.

Based on Kosovo Police statistical records, 22 murders have been committed in Kosovo for this year's January-September period, where 12 of them have been named a serious murder.

Kosovo Police data in relation to the killings that took place during this period of time in Kosovo are almost equal in proportion to the year 2022.

A total of 21 murders have been committed for the 12 months of last year in Kosovo, when 14 of them are considered serious killings.
