Dangerous and unacceptable statement by Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi against Kosovo media
Not for the first time, Kosovo Government's first deputy prime minister, who heads negotiations with Serbia, Besnik Bislimi has attacked Kosovo media, making it a dangerous charge that they “are financed by Serbia”. At the press conference with Prime Minister Kurti, when asked about the concessions he mentioned earlier in an interview with the Serbian newspaper “Danas”, he made scandalous statements.
The launch word has been deliberately used by Kosovo media that have financing from Serbia to give me co-operation...”, Bislimi said at the conference.
The AGK, strongly condemns this unacceptable language of the second man of government, and points out that when it comes from the highest level of power it puts Kosovo media journalists at serious, even physical risk. The government Kurti must stop attacking Kosovo media, and allow them to do their job, including the very important component of responsible power.
