Citaku said it is unintelligible to protect the Government and Prime Minister against these relatives, until he has called on the prosecution to investigate each case reported by the media.
“As you have seen during this time, every day the corruption album of this Government is being enriched. Media reports are showing that party-state exhibits have left no sector without extending the corruption network, including in the most essential things: Boil, wheat, and oil. Yesterday, we also saw reports of abuse of funds that are money for communities and by chance turned out to be the family of the ministers of this Government. Many had no idea of what those funds have acquired. In the face of all this, more scandalous than the relatives, there have been the reactions of Prime Minister Kurti and government explorers. In the best case, there has been indifference and disregard until, at worst, there has been an inexplicable defense of acts involved in corruption and an hysterical attack against prosecution and the media. We invite the rule institutions, the police and the prosecution, to urgently investigate all of this Government's relatives and not allow the decay and loss of evidence: As if they lost the oil and the wheat!”, she stressed.
Deputy Mayor Citaku said government Kurti has not declared war on corruption, but journalists who are revealing cases of corruption and rule of law, who are investigating them.
“Ambassador Martin Berishaaj continues to be in office, despite the revealed facts that link him to the misuse of millions of euros. Nagip Krasniqi, suspected of misuse of official office, friend of Prime Minister Kurti, despite his arrest he is only suspended from office, but not also exempt. Roseta Hajdari, who has bought wheat from construction companies, and wheat has never come to Kosovo, continues to remain in office. Five ministers -- deputy ministers and many other officials -- in many institutions today are under investigation by Task-Forca Anti-Corruption in the Kosovo Police. No accountability so far, rather, this Government has declared war on corruption, but journalists who are revealing corruption and the rule of law who are investigating it”, she added.
Chitaku stressed that audio recordings published in the media have spread the enormous pressure being put on public administration and civil servants by state officials to violate the law.
Each day and more, the aura of moral superiority, which the VV had described to itself, is being destroyed as a party with clean hands. The facts are showing that these were just empty phrases. Audio-incisions are also telling of the great pressure being put on public administration and civil servants, not to abide by the law, but to violate it. As relations mount, abuses of official duty are affecting all institutions of this Government, unfortunately, are citizens who are suffering the consequences. The rising prices, unemployment and poverty are the three major problems our citizens are facing today! Instead of solutions, this Government has offered only endless cycles of crises and scandals. Once again, I am reviewing the call for investigative and justice institutions to act”, Citaku concluded.
