Many meters underground work to illuminate most of the country, but Trepca miners are not listening to the government's voice of discontent.

The labour union of this company has expressed through a public letter readiness for a meeting with the chief of executives, but they have not received a week's answers.

The reason for the meeting, according to Ibrahim Jonuzi, concerns the plight of workers working in the mine.

Ibrahim Jonuzi of the Independent Trade Union of Trepca Miners has declared that “we have even submitted requests for the meeting and have not received an answer yet. This is in the interest of the state because Trepca needs accurate and correct information as we are in a serious state of”.

In addition to the situation, Jonuzi shows that over 1,000 workers have not yet received the monthly salaries of July.

The problem is still, the lack of investments has made it difficult because it is the 08th and wages have not yet been realised”.

And although the Kosovo government had warned a loan to get out of the crisis months ago, Jonuzi says he does not know what happened to that money.

The Kosovo government in February has voted to approve a loan of around 20m euros we are still pending and have no information about what happened, as we are in a very serious condition as we are facing the lack of even basics for operating production”, Jonuzi has declared.
