In the course of many KED investment projects through all of Kosovo's municipalities, the village of Racinica in Skyright municipality recently completed the new electricity network project.
The demand of residents of this village for a new and stable network was realised thanks to the ECDS's commitment to improving the overall infrastructure of the electromagnetic network.
Supervisor engineer at KEDS, Mrs. Artyola Buya, says that the project of the new network in this village also means safety on the grid, citing the change in the transmission of the line.
This project, in addition to improving the supply of electricity to our consumers there, has also increased safety on the grid and the dangers posed by the old network have been eliminated and the change in the transmission of line” has been made, she says.
According to her, the old electromagnetic network was located in an inappropriate area, which made it difficult for the KED maintenance teams to intervene in cases of need.
People in these neighborhoods also express satisfaction with investment in the electrical network. Kadri Hajra says this project is very welcome, since they already have a new network and stable supply.
“We are very pleased with the new investment in our village by KED. We didn't have the new network in front of us, it was even set up in the fields. Now his deployment is done across the street, which offers us great security”, he says.
In the new line, about three miles [3 km] long, some 60 pillars of Middle and Low Tension concrete have been installed, along with close to 60 ormen and other monitoring stabilizers.
This project has cost nearly 60,000 euros and is already benefiting close to 250 residents of this village.
KEDS is continuing to implement investment projects throughout Kosovo in order for our consumers to provide sustainable and stable electricity supplies.
