United Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture ( The SBAAK is considering the means shared by the Education Ministry may not suffice to buy books from parents, said the institution's deputy chairman, Vjollca Shala.
She confirmed that there will be problems even with the way the application is applied on the e-Kosovo platform. Shala confirmed that given that now the sale of books will be reduced to publishing houses and libraries will freeze prices.
We heard yesterday that the Minister of Education had made a subsistance of tools for textbooks, books and other teaching tools that was in the amount of 80 euros for students from first grade to fifth grade, while plus 30 euros for those from sixth to ninth grade. Given that retail books now, there is a possibility that publishing houses and libraries freeze prices. We still don't know exactly how much a book will cost, we still don't know exactly whether it will be enough or not”, she said.
She also stressed that the other problem for this form of textbooks equipment will also be the lack of libraries in municipalities, as in one part of the library municipalities have been closed, EO reports.
Of course, this part will be a difficult challenge, I personally have done platform research on e-Kosovo to apply for this subscientization, but during the entry process, I saw that there are problems because maybe the large number of those who want to apply for this subvention right now are very high and sometimes this site is blocking, there is no way of access to them. Besides this problem, of course there are other problems because we have parents who don't know how to get into this” platform.
Then we have parents who don't have access to the Internet. And even if these vehicles are subsidized there's going to be problems in bookstores as well because we have municipalities that don't have libraries at all, then there's going to be a book shopping mess because there's a very short time left. There may be an increase in book prices from one library in the other, then there will be parental confusion about which book to buy, which publishing house”, she said.
On the e-Kosovo platform has been published the link in which parents can apply for subvention of textbooks for children from 1-5th grade.
The Education Ministry on Thursday evening has announced it will allocate 80 euros to students from 1st to 5th grade for the purchase of textbooks and textbooks.
