Pigozin died during the collapse of a private plane north of Moscow on August 23rd.
“After these results, the identity of ten victims has been determined and corresponded to the passenger list submitted to flight”, the committee said.
Russian authorities have said that Prigozy and Wagner Commander Dmitry Utnik were on the plane's list that crashed.
“The molecular-genetic speculation has been completed as part of the aircraft crash investigation in the Tver” region, said committee spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko.
The Embraer private jet was launched from Moscow towards St Petersburg. The cause of his fall has not yet been determined.
A day after the plane crashed, Russian President Vladimir Putin indirectly confirmed Pgozhin's death after expressing condolences to the family leader of the mercenary group.
“He [Pigozin] was a talented man”, Putin said on August 24th, calling it “the tragedy” crash of the plane.
There was speculation that the Kremlin may have been involved in the plane crash. The plane crashed exactly two months after Wagner committed a brief rebellion against Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the incident as <x0tric” and called “lies” speculation about a possible involvement of the Kremlin in the event.
