Ramadan in the case of Kicina: Justice is used to hiding the real killer

The case, known as “Rasti Kicina”, occurred in the Drenas municipality in 2001. In this case, five members of the Hajra family were killed on their return from a wedding in their village of Drenas. Faton Ramadani, the brother of the convicted in this case Burim and Arsim Ramadani, has accused justice of being used [...]

Faton Ramadani, brother of Burim and Arsim Ramadani, sentenced to 30 years in prison in the case known as the “Kiqina”, has said that, in this case, “justice is used to conceal the true killers”.

Ramadan, in “Debat Plus”, has stressed that on the night of the Hajra family's murder, The Source, was celebrating the birthday with friends and others. Who have declared but the court has not taken them to base.
“Burim Ramadani was the 21st birthday of the night the Hajra family was killed at 23:17, that's when the Norwegian KFOR shots were recorded. The source was 16 people on her birthday, and there were other people at the bar where she was celebrating her birthday. In this case, justice is used to shut you down. And cover the real killers. Because no single argument is that they are murderers or the perpetrators of that crime. They were celebrating a birthday with a lot of people in a bar. Then everyone came to me with statements, sent them to the courts, refused, didn't get the new evidence. People have claimed to have heard the shots and show they haven't moved from the table that's been celebrating the” birthday, he said.

Burim Ramadani, Arsim Ramadani and Arben Kicina were sentenced to 30 years in prison, Jeton Kicina for 16 years, and Blerim Kicina for 11 years. The case has passed through all steps of all domestic courts, including the Constitutional Court.

And in 2017 the then president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, had decided by decree to sentence the brothers Edsim and Burim Ramadani, as well as Arben Kicina.

On August 20, 2001, Hamez Hajra, his wife, Medjadi, his son Dzevdet, and his daughters Mimoza and Adela were killed on a street in the middle of the village of Baica and Trstenik in the Crena municipality as they returned from a wedding home in Drenas.
