Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama will be in Slovenia on August 28th and 29th, invited to the Strategic Forum Blade. Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has confirmed his presence at this forum. Both will be speakers at the two-day forum panels held in the tourist town near Lake Bled.
This forum will probably enable a meeting between Rama and Kurti following the crack that resulted from the annulment of the two governments' joint meeting on the part of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who was scheduled to be held on June 14th in Gjakova. Rama's public criticism of the government in Pristina also affected the clashes with Serbia over the tense situation in northern Kosovo.
Marking “take” Kurti conditioned meeting with Prime Minister Rama as part of his Balkan tour, stressing that the gathering of two governments must first take place. Although Rama signed the envisioned agreements to sign at the meetings of two governments in Pristina, Kurti again refused to meet him within the Balkan tour. Kurti's second refusal to Rama came even on July 17th, not participating in a informal meeting of Western Balkan leaders organised in Tirana. Although they will be very close, it is not known whether there will be a “face-to-face” between Rama and Kurt in Slovenia.
The Strategic Forum Bled is a global <x0platform for generating ideas and exchanging views on contemporary society and its future, writes the Express. Serbian President Vuciq, Macedonian Prime Minister Kovacevski and European Council President Charles Michel will participate in the strategic forum of Bled.
