After European Council President Charles Michel called for 2030 to be set as a deadline until the EU and candidate countries are ready for enlargement, Rama said at the Black Strategic Forum that this should be said and that it contributes to steps the countries of the Western Balkans should make towards the EU.
It's the time to say maybe what Charles said could be accomplished in terms of what might be called real steps forward. Not that I believe we will be in 2030 part of the European Union, but in some of the steps that would be very good”, Rama said.
While we are talking about convergence with the EU, it must understand that the EU's per capita vacuum around this region and the states of the Western Balkans is like 170 euros... and more than 14 thousand euros for all of us. This should be understood and resolved with concrete steps. These things should also be in the process, not just reform and criticism, which are absolutely necessary, but support as it consisted, I am speaking only financial but also assistance in the common market”, Albania's prime minister said.
