Speaking to Sky News, he said he disagrees with claims by some analysts who say that with the alleged death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, Putin's “main threat has now left” and that the Russian president will get stronger than that.
It unveiled a new view- that “determination to eliminate disgruntled voices on this scale Putin is now making” shows “that trust in the closely circle of the Kremlin has disappeared”.
Putin is now leading through fear instead of loyalty” and, toply, the oligarchs and the Russian elite “do not see it as capable guarantor” to their status.
“Pigoxin may have died, but the damage has been caused because it raised the lid on how bad Putin's war is actually going to Ukraine”
“Putin is deeply humiliated on several fronts”, he said, adding that the yanner group has been a powerful “ter unit in Ukraine” and one of the few components of Russian forces and “this has already left”.
Elwood also said that a return to Russian history tells us what might happen next: “When a Russian leader loses the popularity of elites, then Russian history proves that weakness quickly and vigorously explodes”
I expect it will be replaced, maybe not in a short time, but it's already certain that the ball is on the move. I believe Putin's days are numbered”, he added. /Periscopi/
