Dukagjin Pupovci, former deputy minister of education, has spoken about the subsidisation of parents for purchasing books, said there may be abuses.
He says that children must be verified, that means can be executed by mistake.
There is room for abuse in every society and in all circumstances. In the ideal situation, applications would have to be verified in advance, in the sense that children are actually registered to the school specified by the applicant. But I don't believe in the current situation that there are conditions for such verifications, so it may be that the tools are paid even to someone who doesn't have children at school. Whether the child of the parent who has received the payment is equipped with textbooks and textbooks”, he says.
Pupovci said it is expected to apply multiple parents, as they may have more than one child.
He says there will also be problems and difficulties in this process.
There are about 210 thousand students following classes in 1-9, so it is expected to have about 150 thousand applications, considering that some parents may have more than one child of this age group. A category of parents who stay better materially may also decide not to apply. There will be such ones who need these tools but may have difficulty applying, either because of the lack of technological skills or bank accounts”, Pupovci concluded.
On Monday, Deputy Education Minister Taulant Kelmendi said that by yesterday at 09:00 hours, 51 thousand and 200 applications have been accepted on the Kosovo platform for subsidisation of textbooks and textbooks.
