Public security is being deemed chaotic, preventative measures required

Public security in the country is estimated to be one in a chaotic situation because of recent developments that have shaken public opinion. Security experts, speaking of Radio Kosovo, call for quick actions, contrary to them, public security will be out of control. Public security in Kosovo by experts and [...]
Public security in Kosovo by experts and representatives of security issues-related organisations is considered to be being violated by crimes of different natures. Speaking to Radio Kosovo, security expert Drizan Shala says there is an institutional neglect of three key mechanisms -- police, prosecution and judiciary -- to preserve public safety in the country.
So, if we don't have a preventative measure in terms of further public security advancement, the situation will be out of control and difficult to return. This is as a result of the current government's political focus, delocation of 80 per cent of the rule forces in the northern part since 2021. We have an effective lack of any police official in parts of the capital and other cities, and this gives indicators to criminal groups that can move without detection, stumbling and without being controlled by the mechanisation of the Republic of Kosovo”, Shala said.
While Mentor Vrajolli, from the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies, tells Radio Kosovo that recent cases show the judicial system has failed.
“In recent cases, it's about people who have criminal precedents and here it's not about security measures, but it's about the judiciary, which in large measure continues to be disappointing for citizens, because these people have been constantly, perhaps, arrested and managed to get out, using their blackmail that they have in court prosecution”, Vrajolli said.
And today, Pristina Chairman Progress Rama has declared that they are structured the process of co-operation with security institutions, until he reiterated that the capital's police are necessary.
The problem exists and how to resolve it from now on not to zoom in. From the data I received from the police, they point out that after 12: 00 p.m., every second or third vehicle driving in Pristina is armed. It's alarming! Those who allow freedom to free these people who should otherwise be prisoners” should be elected and responsible, Rama said.
In any case, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has drafted the Kosovo Security Strategy for 2022-2027, aimed at improving the justice system and advancing policies in order to establish the capacities and efficiency of the Kosovo Police, maintaining public order and security. Security experts estimate that the last case in the capital, in Cline and other cases, would have to lead the political level to reflect through the resignation of dictatorship ministers where security institutions have failed.
