Prompts psychologist: Authorities' impunity of violence is affecting increase in homicides

The phenomenon of frequent killings in Kosovo is taking place as a result of the need to show dominance, power and wealth, psychologist Petrit Thaci estimates. Thaci says these criminal acts may also be due to their past, development and adolescence, for which he points out that they may have suffered acts of violence. [...]

Thaci says these criminal acts may also be due to their past, development and adolescence, for which he points out that they may have suffered acts of violence.

“Arsyet may be of various kinds, pushing towards criminal acts. So criminal acts are a peak explosion of violence, which has the basis for our instinct or impulse of aggression, which is a natural impulse, but it's designed to be part of us as part of our survival, as part of our existence as part of where we feel threatened that our physical integrity, or something is being physically violated. However, we are seeing that in social phenomena very often the impulse of aggression, the writings, the appearance of this zenithous violence are turning into a need to display dominance, to display power, to impose solutions towards the realisation of our instinct needs, our needs related to immediate desires, to the possession of things, to wealth, to drugs, prostitution and such things”, Thaci says.

In addition, Thaci said there are several factors that can influence people to move them to do such criminal acts, suggesting the mentality that violent people are dominant in society.

And we should look beyond it, that is, in disorderly forms of mental functioning, personality disorder, psychiatric disorders, behavioral disorders, sometimes we can see how emptying out of a mental basis, growing up listening to the praise and puffing up on violent persons, dominant persons, others who fear them, who don't have to disturb their own way of functioning, that you don't dare the state, you don't want the police, you know, society, a certain more damaging form of them in the past, as young people, as well as young, who have suffered violence, and violence today, acts of violence, and violence, and violence, say, the mechanism, the only possibility of their own crime,

Among other things, psychotherapeut, Petrit Thaci stresses that this phenomenon in Kosovo may also be due to the non-treatment of these cases seriously on the part of justice institutions and police response.

Most of the perpetrators, from acts of recent acts, have criminal acts that exceed 100 and they are still free, to cafes, to traffic, to our society. And the question is how it is possible, so the justice system should be aware that the punishment measures are not only to rehabilitate or re-trade the person in society but also to create a longer effect on society. Thus, by bringing them into a very rapid form of punishment, by creating the concept that this is incompatible, inlerable. Hence, even this part can be a reason why our society is now being affected by the fastest acts of violence. The rest, of course, may be that there is not sufficient control or sufficient monitoring from the relevant 48x1> institutions, Thaci says of Kosovas.

According to him, there may be improvements if rights, freedoms, and respect are incompatible.

“As a transformation of society so that the less potential for such outbursts of violence must undoubtedly also the family in implementing a culture where rights of freedom and respect, understanding of family members is sacred and not compromising to continue at schools with the same values, to continue in the daily traffic, coffee, whether at other events or other institutions, and to create a general climate of collective educational and collective morality built on qualities that are far from violence, and far from crime, he says.

Three cases of murder have occurred in Kosovo for just one week, where three people have lost their lives.
