KED has continued with massive investments in Pristina. In the heart of the capital, in Ulpiana and Dardania neighbourhoods, during the month alone, KEDS has installed 19 new transformers and 22 new chins.
This investment, in addition to implying complete new infrastructure, pipe, cable, and wells, includes eliminating old infrastructure in these neighbourhoods in which it had not been invested for decades.
The particular of these new transformers is their capacity to fit 20kV lines, compared with those of the old, whose capacity was 10kV. Consequently, residents of these neighbourhoods have already doubled their energy pressure, which guarantees energy stability for the next few decades. Above all, all of this electronergieic infrastructure installed in these two neighbourhoods will be followed by the unaided link between the substations, which in case of a possible defect, powered on the other side. So, in the future, consumers will be supplied with electricity without interruptions even in cases where their line is out.
Installing these transformers is also key to electricity efficiency. The more such new transformers means even less energy losses during distribution. The new transformers in these neighborhoods are not only part of an infrastructure chain of energy, but are also part of a fair energy transformation for a digitized network, which has so far become largely.
This major KED project has not only improved energy demographics, giving them better urban views, it also promises a variety of benefits for our consumers, improving and facilitating living conditions.
Projects on changing such transformers will continue in the days and weeks under way in other Pristina neighbourhoods.
Installation of these transformers has been made in the continuation of the nearly 90 projects currently being implemented throughout the Pristina region.
