Pristina-Gracanica line has not been functional even after a year of signing the agreement between the two municipalities.
Even though representatives of the Pristina and Gracanica municipalities have signed an agreement more than a year ago for establishing the travel line for transportation between Pristina and Gracanica, it has not yet been functional.
The agreement on establishing the Pristina-Gracanica bus line was signed in early August last year by Pristina municipality deputy chairman Alban Zogaj and the deputy head of the Gracanica municipality Leutrim Ajeti, who in a brief telephone statement for RTK has stressed that implementation of this decision has been delayed due to lack of buses on GSP Pristina.
The agreement we have with the Pristina municipality has yet to be implemented, as we were told by that municipality does not have enough buses. Currently, we are awaiting delivery of ordered buses and this is the main reason”, he said about RTK, deputy head of the Gracanica municipality, Leutrim Ajjeti.
Gracanica residents stress that establishing a line would greatly facilitate road jams and reduce fuel costs for those travelling on that line daily.
As originally planned, the initial stop on the Pristina line é Gracanica would be on the green market in Pristina, and the bus would move through Veternik, Hyvalia to Gracanica, and final stop in Kishnica.
