He probably didn't get on the plane at the end, says Skynews.
And according to the BBC, two planes flew towards Moscow today.
Several Russian channels have speculated that Wagner's chief, Yevgeny Pigozin, may have been on another plane by the one who crashed today.
Another plane, an Embrarer 600, has a record number RA-02748.
Airplane flight data is elusive by Flight Raddar24, a popular aircraft tracking site.
But the data shows he left St Petersburg earlier today and flew toward Moscow. His tracks disappear near Ostafievo Airport in the Russian capital.
The BBC cannot confirm the information if he was on board.
