The Ministry of Industry, Intervention and Trade reacts to slander and insults published at one of the media portals, through orchestrated and broadcast surveillance over the last few days.
The Ministry of Industry, Intervention and Trade (MINT) explains the public opinion that rumours used in audio-incidents are biased and untrue, alluding to misuse of the State Reserve and serving a political cause with the aim of undermining the process more sensitive to defence and state security, and aimed at denigrating the image of Minister Roseta Hajdari, lowering her reputation and public image.
The Ministry of Industry, Intervention and Trade announces public opinion that all procedures related to the supply of goods for state reserves have been developed and continue to be addressed based on legislation in force, including the Republic of Kosovo State Reserve Law, the Law on Business Divisions for the Republic's Budget Kosovo for 2022, the Classified Information Protection Law and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo decision No.0165 of the 2602.2022.
In 2021, MINT has announced three times the procurement procedures to buy a portion of the State Reserve, of which a procurement procedure has been successfully completed, while two procurement procedures have failed because of the failure to offer by economic operators.
In the first quarter of 2022, the supply of State Reserve goods, basic for citizens' lives, has been treated as a matter of national security, when war began in Ukraine, and when the state of supply of the State Reserve in our country was in smaller amounts, needed for living and protecting the population in case of a supply crisis.
While the war in Ukraine brought disruptions in supply chains and lack of basic goods, due to the halting of exports from many countries, the rise in global inflation and prices, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, at MINT's request, increased the budget for the State Reserve and made decisions to exempt from procurement procedures for supply of State Stock Reserve goods products, according to the high-profile legislation in force.
State reserves of goods are created to intervene operationally for the protection of the population, the economy in case of market disorder, country protection and other conditions defined in Article 2 of Law No. 03 l-244 for state cargo reserves.
Despite the impact of the war in Ukraine with export stops and disruptions of the supply of basic goods for life, MINT through the Department of State Reserves and Goods - DR The US has increased the amount of reserves by 30 times more, thus increasing national security.
MINT ensures that the process of supplying goods to the State Reserve, with standards and specific quality parameters, is being addressed and monitored under legislation in force and that there is no misuse of public money. The state reserve contracts are classified at the secret level, according to relevant legislation in force.
The ministry is committed to continuing with the growth of the State Reserve this year as well, according to the Law on Business Divisions for the Republic Budget Kosovo for 2023, in order to ensure that citizens under extraordinary circumstances have state support in overcoming economic crisis situations.
The Ministry of Industry, Intervention and Trade has undertaken all legal actions for denouncing slander and insults to justice bodies, and once offers full co-operation with all competent institutions on the issue in question.
