Former Prime Minister Isa Mustafa has responded to the statement by current Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who yesterday through a Twitter post, has claimed that thanks to his labour policies, today there are 400,000 active positions.
Mustafa has said that public investments in the country have declined, and as a result there is no money in circulation.
Public investments have declined. Last year they've been at the lowest level since their liberation. And if there's public investments, then there's no money in circulation. Then aggregate request goes down. I can't blame the government for inflation, because it's only been in Kosovo, but the government is completely guilty that it has taken no measures to ease the consequences of the citizens' inflation.”, he said at “Info10.
Mustafa also criticised Kurt for unemployment and the departure of citizens, saying that in his rule, they have managed to return citizens who migrated, while this is not happening.
“No wages have increased or wages. There's an increase in employment, there's a citizens' flight. But, about the employment we're talking about, we can talk about our people in Germany because they've gone and been employed in Germany, but they're never employed in Kosovo. We've had great escapes, and I've been on the run in 2015, the flight of 60-70 thousand citizens, but we have managed to turn 70% of them into Kosovo. Now nobody's coming back. Mustafa said away.
