Musliu for the violence in the Assembly: Bislim's criminal attack prompted our deputies' response

Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy (PDK), Ganimete Musliu, has once again shown the chronology of the July 13th 2023 Parliament session, where there were physical clashes between MPs and some of the ministers. Musliu has said it is true that in the history of the Parliament, he cannot remember when the government hits MPs. “It is true that [...]
Musliu has said it is true that in the history of the Parliament, he cannot remember when the government hits MPs.
It is true that it is not remembered in the history of the Kosovo Assembly, but I can say perhaps in democratic parliaments, when the government hits MPs. At the July 13th session, we have a dangerous precedent, where Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislim hits MPs in the most likely manner”, Musliu said.
She adds that the resentment seen in Bislim's face during the blow they gave to MP Mergim Lushtaku, “indicates exactly and clearly to what extent the arrogance and violence of the Government has reached”.
Musliu stresses that violence had been in parliament earlier, citing the case of the clash between Rexhep Selimi and Bekim Haxhiu years ago. The MP also cites the case of tear gas thrown by the deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement during the time they were in opposition.
There have been anti-Vala in parliament even earlier. We've had times when they've been pushed and punched in different ways by the MPs between them. We have the occasion behind the coup, Rexhep Selimi and Bekim Haxhiu, happening in the lobby of the Parliament, not in the session. It's not that we don't have any violence. Tear gas is a life attack, he in closed space is a killer. We are fortunate that we do not have victims of the violence caused by tear gas in the Kosovo Assembly, because we have had several seriously ill health deputies”, Musliu said in an interview for Telegrafi.
MP Musliu has dismissed claims that all that happened at the 13 July session had been a preliminary organisation by PDK deputies.
We put a banner at the start of the session that wrote “Zravo”, one in the speaker of the other before the prime minister's seat and everything was silence. The moment I put in the picture of Albin Kurt, which best describes Kurt and his lies then to trade loyalty to the leader, the deputy prime minister is taking the role of bodyguard and tearing apart the photograph. I was going to the speaker to put the next picture because I had a spare picture, and when I saw the exile in the speaker spraying water on them, it was unexpected for me, and this shows that it was unorganized. They didn't give me a deadline to put up the next picture, because the criminal attack by Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi has then prompted the reaction of our party's deputies”, Musliu said.
According to her, MP Mergim Lushtaku had even defended Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu.
THE first to trigger this whole situation was Besnik Bislimi, then when Mergim Lushtaku returns to respond to Bislim in his reaction, Hekurani and Albulen Haxhiu are thrown. I am very pleased with Mergim Lushtak's gesture in all the tension he has behind him in the way he protects Albulena from the Vetevendosje crowd”, Musliu said.
She added that this mess was made to cloud citizens for their shameful “from the north of Kosovo”.
