The government and the presidency welcomed the letter as they thanked foreign politicians for the interest shown on Kosovo.

The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has thanked all politicians who signed the letter.

“I thank all signatories for their powerful support for Kosovo's sovereignty and democracy. Together, we will maintain our common values and strengthen democracy”, Osmani stated.

In a letter written by Bundestag Foreign Policy expert Michael Roth, the US Senate's Bob Menandez and the heads of the foreign affairs committee, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Ireland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, to the US, the EU and Great Britain are said to be having a soft approach to Belgrade.

Even political connoisseur Dr. Arifi has been declared on this subject.

He described the letter requiring stronger access to Serbia as positive.

The “Lerra of foreign politicians is extremely positive and is to say a turning point affecting the European Union's policy, and to Serbia having tougher approaches. I hope the European Union countries wake up from that winter sleep, because the war in Ukraine has changed geopolitical on the continent of Europe and I believe that the EU and the five countries must recognise Kosovo”, he has said.

According to Arifi, the five EU states must recognise Kosovo's independence, as only thus can stability be found in the Balkans.

“The EU consciously or without, is undermining the path of European integration by failing to advance Kosovo equally with all Balkan countries. Kosovo's non-recognition by the EU will cause more pain to Europe, but the Balkans too, because the Balkans cannot advance because of Serbia's structural policies”, he said.

Arifi added further that “if the West is not willing to be harsher towards Serbia, it should be more willing and open to Kosovo, so I see the letter changing the EU's policy on Kosovo”.

For Telegrafi, Arifi said the EU must now remove the sanctions it has imposed on Kosovo due to developments in the north.

“The government has accepted EU conditions, sanctions must leave to give more spirit to dialogue. In addition to sanctions, it should be more open and provide a Euro-Atlantic route”, Arfi said, among other things.

Otherwise, Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu the day before has told Telegrafi that they welcome the letter and that they remain committed to the full deession of the situation in the north.

“We remain committed to the full deceptability of the situation in the north, alert to any potential for re-surpassing, and loyal to legitimacy and constitutionality.

In the letter of politicians from various Western countries to the US, the EU and Great Britain, it is said the West is having soft access to Belgrade.

Kosovo has faced significant consequences following efforts by mayors to enter their offices in northern Kosovo. Kosovo must co-ordinate with KFOR in the future to prevent escalation. But the lack of pressure exerted on Serbia following the arbitrary ban on three Kosovo police officers and failure to hold responsibility for attacks on KFOR highlights the current lack of impartiality in addressing such hot spots”, said in Britain's letter of foreign policy experts to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Britain's Foreign Minister James Cleveland.

International politicians have sought to restore balance and proportionality in relations with Kosovo and Serbia.
