Lajcak warns meetings with Kurti, Vuciqi

Miroslav Lajcak, the European Union's envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, has told of the meeting he had with Gabriel Escobar, the United States' emissar for the Western Balkans.
Lajcak has said this meeting was co-ordinating for the challenges ahead of him, citing the situation in northern Kosovo, which Lajcak says his de-terity remains high on his agenda.
In this regard, Lajcak next warned of meetings with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurtin, as well as Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.
” While the pace in Brussels slowed in summer, challenges in the Western Balkans did not disappear. A particular area that remains high on my agenda is the situation in northern Kosovo”, Lajcak wrote on Facebook on Sunday.
” To prepare for the coming months and further strengthen our joint efforts, I invited Deputy Assistant Secretary Escobar to Brussels for deepening discussions and co-ordination meetings. Along with our teams, we discussed in detail dialogue issues, shared assessments of the current situation, developments in recent months, and expectations for the coming period. And we also made sure to harmonise future steps and priorities”.
Before next week's traditional rent in Brussels, I will travel to Alpbach, Bled and Belgrade, where I will meet with Prime Minister Kurti and President Vucic, but also with a number of partners, friends and experts for the Western Balkans and global. Political developments”, he said.
There has been a escalating situation in northern Kosovo, but an agreement has been reached between Kosovo and Brussels.
Brussels urges Kosovo Government to implement all provisions of agreement so Brussels abolish Kosovo's punitive measures.
