While today, EU spokesman Peter Stano has said that the European Union is waiting for the steps of Kosovo and Serbia for the decespass, and to create conditions for continuing dialogue, not citing deadlines of when a high-level meeting in Brussels will occur.

“Work in dialog is continuing. We have repeatedly repeated in recent weeks that there is a clear expectation on the part of the EU that the parties take very clearly defined steps for the despass, and create the conditions for continuing the” dialogue, Stano said.

On July 10th, Kosovo and the European Union agreed on several steps towards extending the situation in northern Kosovo, including reducing the police presence and organising new elections in four northern municipalities.

Kosovo police announced on August 4th the reduction of 25 per cent of their officers' presence in and around municipal facilities in northern Kosovo.
