Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti at the 156th Government Meeting has spoken of his participation in the informal dinner in Athens, Greece, writes Reporter.net.
The first of the Government said that in Athens, it has stressed that de-exception in Kosovo's four northern municipalities has occurred.
Kurti said that on the eve of the Berlin Summit in Tirana, the meeting in Athens with the participation of President Zelensky contributes to regional co-operation and the EU integration process.
“Meeting in Athens with the participation of President Zelensky contributes to regional co-operation and the EU integration process. For Kosovo, participation in Athens and high-level meetings at the Maximous Palace represent another step towards advancing Kosovo's relations and Greece's”, Kurti said at the Government meeting.
The executive head added that at dinner in Athens, he stressed that Kosovo's EU membership has no alternative.
“In the joint dinner we had I stressed that the membership of the Republic of Kosovo in the European Union has no alternative. All states that aspire to EU membership must implement democracy, rule of law, respect for human rights and good neighbourhood. For good democratic and European neighbours, mutual recognition de jure and de facto, as well as minority rights”, Kurti said.
“At the joint dinner I stressed that de-exception in northern municipalities is the result, one side of the arrest of violent elements that attacked police and KFOR, and on the other side of the extremists' departure. It's been two months since the last” incident was recorded.
Kosovo is currently implementing the agreement reached at Bratislava”, Kurti said.
