For the first time in the post-war period in northern Mitrovica, lack of products from Serbia, whose presence has been significantly reduced in other municipalities in Kosovo, has been observed. But, otherwise, the data of the Kosovo Statistics Agency speaks. According to director Ismail Sahiti, only during the month of June, Kosovo has imported more than 13m euros from Serbia.
The lack of products from Serbia on the Kosovo market has been compensated for with products from other countries in the region, which, according to Kosovo's economic umbrella president, Lulzim Rafuna, have so far not been affected by local business interests.
Serbia's lack of products in the Serb-run populated environments, according to the Kosovo Economic Ode, is the result of the government's move towards these products, but also the efficient fight of the order bodies against smuggling goods.
