Jabllanovic stresses that announcing the possibility of Kosovo not being granted visa liberalisation after all these years of waiting is a very serious alarm.
It becomes clear to us that the West for some of our local conflicts is out of patience and that they expect us to take concrete steps to normalise the situation, which should bring lasting stability. Simply announcing the possibility of Kosovo not being granted visa liberalisation after all these years of waiting is a very serious alarm. I don't think politicians and all citizens should be in the same position. We've been waiting for visa liberalisation for a long time and we all need, so we all have to do our best to keep this deserved opportunity from going. I think we as citizens deserve full rights”, Jablanovic says.
Jabllanovic does not rule out the fact that there is no progress about implementing the Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex, where he adds that Prime Minister Kurti is the main blame.
“will likely have no serious progress in implementing these two agreements under current political and security circumstances (in northern Kosovo). First of all, I see Mr. Government's guilty. Kurti, who not only does not respect the legitimate interests of Serbs who are both citizens of Kosovo, but we also see that this Government does not respect the demands of Kosovo's most important partners for voluntary formation of association, as well as of the main Albanian opposition parties”, he says.
The normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia, according to Jablanovic, comes only after a new Government is formed, in which it is not far away.
“From my perspective, it is clear that a more serious normalisation and reconciliation of the two peoples will have to host a new Government of Kosovo, which I think will arrive soon. For now, we are all trapped in a new wave of nationalism and mutual accusations, and Vetevendosje Movement is leading the” path, Jablanovic added.
Jabllanovic warned that Prime Minister Kurti will be forced to implement the agreement, or as he says, will not be prime minister for much longer.
“Z. Kurti will probably be forced to implement the agreements reached or will not play the prime minister's role much longer. Failure to implement the agreement, above all for association, only keeps Serbs away from Kosovo institutions, and Kosovo institutions are not stronger without us Serbs, on the contrary, only weaker. Even though many people in Kosovo today support Vetevendosje policy, which is based on anti-Serb campaign and actions, I fear they do not realize that such a policy has no future and that self - determination will cause the greatest damage. in the long term for Kosovo and the Albanian people”, Jablanovic said.
“If the agreements are not implemented, major damage will be experienced by us Serbs, but above all citizens of Kosovo. Unfortunately, politicians will not feel the damage on their backs, and while everything is so, we will run in circles without a clear common goal”, he concluded to Blic newspaper.
