A serious murder occurred today on the early morning in a coffee shop in Skenderaj, where one person was killed and three others injured.

More precisely, the event occurred in the village of Runik in Sqaheraj.

Kosovo Police spokesman for the Mitrovica region Avni Zahiti has confirmed the news.

About 1:21 p.m., on August 10, 2023, police have received the tip of shooting a gun at a coffee shop in the Squirrel village of Runque. Immediately at the scene, the necessary police units and medical team have emerged. Based on initial investigation, the firearm injured four people, one of the injured victims of N. L., 39, has passed away at the scene, while three other people have been injured (also by the firearm) sent for medical treatment at KKUK”, Zahit said.

“From the first investigations and examination of the site, it is suspected that two suspected masked persons have entered the cafe have fired and have fled in an unknown direction. In quality of material evidence at the site, several shellings have been found and confiscated. All actions undertaken by police have been led by the prosecutor, who has emerged at the scene, while the same has authorized that the victim's lifeless body be sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine. Regional Sector investigators are working intensively on identifying and arresting the task's chief/responsives, as well as whiteling that criminal act”, he has said further.
