Haliti: Derek Cholle's absence is a warning to Kurt's Government.

Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy leader Xhavit Haliti has spoken about the postponement of US official Derek Chollet's visit to Kosovo. He has named this push as a warning to the government.

Haliti said Prime Minister Kurti is deepening the dispute with the West.

“As far as I know, Kosovo has been put in punitive measures by the EU, and I also believe in the US. The message of all US state officials to the Government of Kosovo comes through the US ambassador and relevant lines at the Embassy. The Kosovo government, the prime minister, respectively, is jeopardising the deepening of disputes with the West. I have never believed that a Kosovo government would oppose the parental advice coming from the EU”, he told Blic newspaper.

According to him, this movement by foreign countries is a warning to Kosovo.

I think and believe that Kosovo should not in any case become inconsistent, but should apply any advice and proposal coming from the US. In this case, I think Mr. Derek Chollet's failure to meet with Kosovo institutions, especially the prime minister, is a warning to Government. The message in my view is: Follow the agreements you signed, apply the Ohrid vows, implement the three-point proposal”. /Gazzeta Blic
