Government allocates 1.1m euros for Trepca

U.S. Trepca. will also benefit 1.13m euros from a total of 3m euros in subsidies the Ministry of Economy has earmarked for investment and recovery of this company this year, Deputy Minister Gatoar Doctor has announced.

He says the deal has been linked to incumbent chief Enis Abdurahman, and Public Enterprises Director Valon Prereza.

The market is being restructured to raise revenues, reduce expenses, and give miners dignity wages. The company is expected soon to adopt a salary regulation, which compensates workers in proportion to the realisation of the production and revenues plan, and rewards them with bonus when they exceed the” plan, the doctor's announcement reported.

He has further added that the government of the Republic of Kosovo is lending Trepca 20m euros for investment in contemporary machinery and labour stability, which will increase mining production and efficiency”.

Trepca miners have protested that two days since they have not received July wages.
