Some of the urban areas in Albania are endangered by floods, as high-intensity rainfall in Shkodra, Lezha, Durres, Tirana, Fier and Vlora are expected there from the first hours today.
This has been made known to Albanian Defence Minister Niko Peleshi through a Facebook post, which said this is information received by experts from the Institute of Genocency.
Average resurface is expected in most of the country's other circuits, accompanied by thunderstorms. In the aforementioned circuits, there may be rapid flooding of small mountain rivers and landslides. In urban areas these circuits may present problems with localized flooding, depending on the state of sanitation”
The Ministry of Defence and Civil Protection are on full alert for any emergency case, so we call on all municipalities to take the necessary measures as soon as possible to precede floods or landslides. We'll be watching all the situations that can happen, guaranteeing the safety of our citizens”, Pelesh writes.
