Five people -- four Serbs and one Albanian -- were arrested in Zubin Potok last night, while another is in search of smuggling of goods, narcotics and police assault.
Thus has confirmed Mitrovica Police Regional Deputy Director Veton Elshani.
According to Elshan, police have encountered three cars and a van suspected of being used for smuggling goods and that shooting has begun during the ban.
Arrested is Besim Zeqiri or otherwise known as “ka”. “In the early morning hours of Zubin Potok County, police have encountered a van and cars believed to be smuggling goods. During the ban attempt, there was exchange for firearms, but there are no injuries. Five people have been arrested, four Serbs and one Albanian, and one is on the run, while one van and three cars have been confiscated. Chained cigarettes were found inside the van. The case was about three o'clock in the morning --”, Elshani said.
In 2021, Kosovo Police had declared five people in search of smuggling goods among them Besim Zeqiri.
He was arrested in 23,08,2022, to be released again.
